Fire Safety Courses

1st Response Safety offers Fire Safety Programs designed to fit your needs and tought by experienced professionals.  We are a certified provider of the Child Care Professional Fire Safety Training Course from the Georgia Insurance And Safety Fire Commissioners Office. Our Fire Safety Instructors are Nationally NPQ Certifed Public Fire and Life Safety Educators.   Our classes are designed to meet National Fire Protection Agency Standards.

Child Care Professional Fire Safety Training Program (Walk-in Course)

 

The Child Care Professional Fire Safety Course is designed to provide a child care professional working with preschool children in "group day care homes" and "day care centers" basic information about fire safety so they may provide the occupants of their facility with at least a minimum level of protection from fire, and the potential risks associated with fire.  Upon completion of this course, the participants will be issued a Day Care Professional Certificate from the Georgia Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner’s Office that is valid for three (3) years.  The Georgia Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner’s Office mandates that all employees of "group day care home" and "day care centers"  must have this training within 90 days of employment and have a renewal course every three (3) years.

Course Length:  Approximately 5 hours

Intended Audience:  Employees, Owners, Directors of day care centers and group day care homes.

Cost:  $30 per student for walk in courses

$300 per class for onsite courses (no limit on number of students)

 

Fire Extinguisher Training

 

1st Response Safety provided both classroom and hands on training on the safe and effective use of fire extinguishers.  Students learn the proper technique for selecting and using a portable fire extinguisher.  Students will also get the opportunity to actually use a fire extinguisher during the class.

Course Length:  Approximately 2 hours

Intended Audience:  Anyone interested in the proper use of a fire extinguisher

Cost:  $30 per student with a minimum of 5 students
